Watersupply for agriculture in Mude, Nepal

The Tashi Delek Foundation works on improving cultivation methods and agricultural education in the Solukumba District in Eastern Nepal. The Foundation works in the villages Mudepasap, Mude and Belida.

During the dry season (october - march) the availability of water near the terraces, used for cultivation, is scarce. SamSamWater will provide technical support and advice to explore the availability of water for irrigation and the possibilities to buffer water for use during the dry period. The assistance should result in a sustainable watersupply for the region.

In March 2015 SamSamWater will carry out an hydrological field survey and will inquire local NGO's to participate in the project.
